Flash Uganda Celebrity Profile: Ntv’s Julius Ssenkandwa, An Investigative Reporter; A report issued recently indicated that Ugandan investigative reporters performance has improved compared to previous years which has increased the number of these reporters who grace different TV screens most especially in the evening hours.

Today the mighty Flash Uganda Media profiles NTV Uganda’s celebrated investigative reporter Julius Ssekandwa of the famous NTV Akawungeezi news bulletin.

Julius Ssenkandwa is a renowned investigative journalist working with a local TV station NTV Uganda who has in the past years covered and reported on major stories.

Ssenkandwa graduated from Makerere University and started practicing his career as a Journalist at Metro FM owned by politician Francis Babu and rose to prominence while at NTV Uganda as an investigative journalist.

After 3yrs of working with Metro FM, he joined NTV Uganda Serena based Television Station for a new role as an investigative Journalist.

At NTV Julius Ssenkandwa covered and reported inside in-depth news stories and news from outside sources including war and conflicts that happened in East Africa, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo.

He also covered high profile news stories and live interview with president Salva Kiir of South Sudan, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Paul Kagame and Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Luganda news reporter also reported the last Kenyan Elections held on the 8th of August 2017 to elect the President, members of parliament and devolved governments where Uhuru Kenyatta was re-elected with 54% of the vote.

And social related stories like the 2009 Ebola outbreak in Kibaale district while at NTV.

Ssenkandwa recently covered a story on Bebe cool and Bobi Wine reunion at Serena Hotel while at Eddy Kenzo’s concert on January 4th. 2019.

Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool shared a famous hand shake and hug leaving many Ugandans hopeful that the two have reconciled once again.

Away from his Journalism career Ssenkandwa showed interest in politics and is expected to stand for Busiro North constituency seat in 2021 according to unconfirmed reports.

In preparation for his political career he was seen organising community activities like sports activities in the area as well as consulting homesteads on life challenges that require government attention.

Ssenkandwa is a Christians belonging to the Catholic religion and a great fan to politics.
