“We gathered info about our opponents. Our wingers Okwi and Lumala did a wonderful job but the first half was very tricky for us,” he said.
Emmanuel Okwi tapped in an easy goal from a rebound to put the East African based side 1-0 ahead in the 12th minute of the game.
Appropriately, the Warriors bounced back to level matters 40 minutes into the game after Ovidy Karuru teed up Khama Billiat to find the bottom right corner.
Meanwhile, after the game coach, Desabre admitted that a win for Egypt against DR Congo would benefit his side and increase their chances of qualification.
“I prefer Egypt to beat DRC but I’m thinking about my team right now. I need to plan for the next match,” Desabre said.
Uganda will be playing to get at least a point in their final group game against Egypt on 30th June in a bid to secure qualification to the knock out stages of this tournament.
