People Power Pressure Group led by the Kyadondo East legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi, best known as Bobi Wine yesterday on Wednesday 24 July 2019 unveiled their leadership team that will execute activities around the country leading them into leadership, come 2021 general elections.

This time around Bobi Wine declared his intentions to have the Presidential seat officially.

The declaration of People Power leadership team was made at a conference held in Magere at Bobi Wine’s House. They argued that several Hotels around Kampala refused to host them.

“People Power leadership will hold a press conference to provide answers to several questions that have been roaming these streets. The hotels we approached to provide us room declined for obvious reasons, but we figured a plan B.,” Joel Ssenyonyi People Power spokesperson twitted before the meeting.

However, addressing the media at Magere, Senyonyi said that they approached some Hotels in Kampala to provide the space for the past two weeks but they refused.

“This government is scared and that shows how powerful this movement is. We all know that the current and outgoing president Museveni knows that his future as president is limited,” said Ssenyonyi.

Ssenyonyi also added that;

“Some people have been asking us what we are doing. What I know is that we have our next president here. So we are taking power in 2021.”

Explaining the situation further Flavia Kalule Nabagabe, Women Leader in People Power Group said that they approached Hotels like Pope Paul Memorial Hotel, Sheraton Kampala Hotel and Hotel Africana but they all refrained from hosting them.

“When we approached them, they asked for clearance and permission from the police just for a press conference. We are wondering why they wanted all this,” Nabagabe said.

People Power appointed 140 members to lead mobilisation activities across Uganda ahead of 2021 presidential elections.
